A sew-in extension move-up is a maintenance appointment, typically every 6-8 weeks, where I readjusts the wefts to the scalp as your natural hair grows. The process involves carefully removing beads, removing buildup, and re-beading the wefts closer to the roots. This keeps the extensions looking seamless and comfortable and prevents damage to your natural hair. Includes wash, blowout, and style.
Sew-in extension removal involves first using a small comb to separate the hair weft from the cornrow brai. Then, carefully snip the thread that secures the weft, being careful not to cut or break the natural hair beneath. Repeat this process row by row until the weft is completely loose, at which point it can be gently lifted away. After all extensions are removed, the braids should be unraveled, and the natural hair washed and conditioned.
